Worked as a contractor to Alcatel-Lucent to supported LTE Dual Band Conversion for Verizon wireless. Responsibilities include

·   Worked remotely to support the LTE dual band conversion in Verizon wireless network

·   Use CARES systems to log the investigation and resolution for all Assistance Request ticket open by Verizon wireless cell or switch tech.

·   Troubleshooted and resolved eNodeB problems

·   Ensured eNodeB are operational after customer called for assistance

·   Interface directly with the cell tech to resolve eNodeB problems

·   Executed procedure and tools in place to support on time dual band conversion

INTEGRATION ENGINEER

Performed configuration, integration, validation and customer acceptance testing, and turn-up for integration of voice or data services to a customer’s In-Service Commercial network.  Integration activities are performed for adding network translations to existing equipment as well as turning-up new equipment for commercial use.  Once equipment is being used commercially to support end user traffic, will provide the delivery of services and enhanced troubleshooting to add additional capacity or functionality.

 

·               Followed detailed integration procedures and process aids to successfully provision Base Station.

·               TRAFFIC MIGRATION – The process of moving live network traffic from Juniper router onto the newly provisioned Alcatel-Lucent 7750 router and accepted network equipment.  This process includes any required pre-testing, script creation, script execution, post migration monitoring and measurement reporting.

·               Used Alcatel-Lucent tools to retrieve cell sites configuration, controller IP addresses into the customer network to generate EVDO Cell Swing Questionnaire and MOP for bulk cell site swing migration.

·               Provided RNC support during the night of the cell swing.

·               Performed DHCP script creation, script execution for CDMA EVDO cell swing.

·               TROUBLESHOOTING – remote support, as required and also provided status on site issues to customer and product support teams.

CUSTOMER TECHNICAL SUPPORT

Provided a set of professional services in wireless performance and wireless expansion to multiple service providers. Support the following customers:  AT&T Wireless, US Cellular (formerly Primeco Communication), Cingular Wireless, Verizon Wireless, Metro PCS.

 

Responsibilities include

·               Media Gateway (u-MGW and p-MGW) integration in the UMTS core network.

·               Trunk group turns up in multiple UMTS market.

·               IP backhaul cell analysis and IP backhaul cell conversion.

·               Packet Switch Unit un-split.

·               Engineered and implemented packet pipe to improve system performance.

·               Cell site build translations.

·               Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) and Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) technologies cell site growth translations.

 

BASE STATION SUPPORT

Provided cell site support for North American region deployment. Ensured the technical integrity of the cell site aspects of the network. Resolved cell site hardware related issues during the deployment phase. Analyzed customer requirements for new deployment.  Actively participated both internal and customer kickoff meetings. Interfaced with installers, RF optimization engineer, RF lead engineer and Project Manager during integration activities. Provided technical support to installers and RF optimization engineers. Perform project management tasks.  Mentored junior team members.

 

·               Provided technical support during Primeco swap out then trained customer on Lucent base station operation.

·               Served as the lead cell site integration support engineer for two Cricket Communication deployments.

·               Served as the lead cell engineer for two of the AT&T wireless swap out projects.

·               Assisted in cell swing activities for Sprint.

·               Identified the tasks to be performed and the time and resources needed to integrate a cell site.

·               Worked with customer and Lucent personnel during OOD review to provide such cell information as frame configuration, radio placement, channel assignments and trunk information, to the ODA group.

·               Performed cell site integration planning to determine cell count, cell configuration, and cell locations.

·               Obtained and analyzed statistical data such as lost calls or voice channel confirmation failures to identify defective hardware.

·               Monitored the ROP for all cell sites anomalies and resolved any diagnostic and functional failures.

 

RF OPTIMIZATION ENGINEER

Performed a variety of engineering activities leading to the optimization of cellular radio frequencies in Lucent Technologies' cellular customer markets via reduction of call processing anomalies such as dropped calls and RF interference. Supported a wide variety of RF Engineering projects, including deployment and post-deployment activities for CDMA PCS customers. Interfaced with customer and customer program teams on issues tracking and resolution. Provided hands-on training to the customer.

 

·               Led two teams of contracted individuals to carry out optimization drive routes.

·               Performed optimization of Sprint PCS in the Rochester and Buffalo markets.

·               Single-handedly  integrated and optimized the secondary cells for Sprint PCS in the Buffalo market.

·               Resolved trouble tickets in Buffalo market for Sprint PCS.

·               Processed and analyzed CDMA phone data via MapInfo and Lucent Technologies optimization tools.

·               Reviewed translations for diverse forms and update them as needed.
